Why Meet?

You may be wondering why getting together with a group of writers is important.

Fellowship
What's not to like about getting together with other people who have a common interest?

Inspiration
Sometimes when we hit writer's block, it helps simply to hear from others and gain new ideas. Whether it's through reading something someone else wrote or just exchanging ideas, the result can often be new ideas for a new piece.

Critiques
Though sometimes it's scary to share what we've written, passing out a work-in-progress not only helps boost self-esteem, but it helps us learn. Giving others in the group a chance to go over our work helps us grow in our writing and improve for our next project.

Originality
No matter what level of writing we consider ourselves to be at, everyone in the group has something to contribute. Everyone has unique perspectives and insights that greatly help bring variety to our meetings and to the way we view writing.
