Critiquing

Most people are scared by the word "critique" especially when considering they're own writing. But not to worry. Our critiquing methods are far from harsh criticisms.

While critiquing is not required, The Writers Fellowship members do have the opportunity at each meeting to share written articles with the others. The following month, the articles may be brought back and reviewed. Contrary to popular belief, this exercise can be the most rewarding part of the meeting. Through critiques, we learn what the others truly think about what we've written, and in the most gracious manner. While we do make note of any mistakes found when regarding English or grammar, that is not the focus of our critiques. Everyone has a different perspective, and sometimes we even learn new things about the pieces we wrote.

Critiquing is just one of the ways the group encourages one another and how each member grows in his/her writing.
